First off, I hope everyone is having a good start to their semester. Our first GB Meeting will be this coming Sunday, February 12th, from 5 - 6pm. Attendance is MANDATORY - we will be discussing a lot of important things and eating pizza! Please let me know if you have any dietary restrictions or cannot make that meeting time. We are planning on making that Sunday slot our permanent GB meeting slot, right after the last walk-ins shift of the weekend. Don't worry, scheduling is set so nobody is coming back to the shop later in the day save Matt and Camilla.
The executive team has been organizing events, activities, and our operations for this coming semester. Below are some loose concepts we will be discussing in the upcoming GB meeting. We also really want to hear from you guys on how we can improve The Spartan Bicycle Shop for all parties involved.
Shifts, Workflows, Benefits
Week-day drop-off appointments only (Mon-Thurs : 11-6pm) until Saturday, February 25th.
Events, Philanthropy, New-Member Education
~20 bikes donated to the shop over break from the CWRU police and students for repair and donation/raffle.
Our hope is that with recruitment being our priority, mechanics will be solely be responsible for 1 shift a week, whether that be walk-ins or by appointment. This opens us up for community events and ways to expand our footprint (not carbon) on this campus.
Please try to attend this GB meeting, we will be presenting a lot of critical information but also looking to hear from you guys on how we can improve the club and store for all parties involved.
